I am a ceramicist based in the Byron Bay Hinterland in NSW Australia.

I first got mud on my hands 4 years ago and was completely drawn into the challenge as well as the grounding and therapeutic effects that clay has. I have spent the last 4 years immersing myself in all things mud; studying, refining my skills and many, many hours of making and creating.

I am influenced by the simplicity and depth of the Japanese aesthetic as well as contemporary interior design and architecture.

My love for nature is guiding me to pursue an exploration of finishing surfaces that mimic a natural and raw finish. Whether its the incredibly beautiful and unpredictable outcome of the Saggar firing process, or the unglazed exteriors of stain coloured forms. My goal is to explore and work together with the clay and to refine it to its simplest form.
